    What a no-show really costs

A no-show costs more than the lost treatment: it means an empty treatment room, paid staff and an appointment another client could have taken.

With 4 no-shows a week at 45 €, a salon loses over 700 € a month in recoverable revenue. It is the easiest loss to address, because you do not need to find new clients: you just need the people who booked to turn up.

    The 4-step system

The no-show prevention system: immediate booking confirmation, a WhatsApp reminder 24 hours before requesting a reply, deposits for new clients and a waiting list to fill gaps.

    • Immediate confirmation with the date, time and treatment.
    • Reminder 24 hours before: "Reply YES to confirm" — anyone who does not reply receives a follow-up call.
    • Deposit (20-30%) for first visits and longer treatments.
    • Active waiting list: when someone cancels, the first available contact is offered the slot within minutes.

    Managing repeat no-shows

Anyone with more than two no-shows moves to deposit-only or same-day bookings: protecting your schedule matters more than keeping an unreliable client.

Communicate this kindly but firmly: the rule applies to everyone and also protects punctual clients, who can find appointments more easily.
