Google Business Profile for a beauty salon: how to get found in your city

A complete profile helps your salon appear when a client searches for a treatment nearby. Here is what to optimise, how to measure it and which mistakes reduce visiblety.

The information Google needs to understand straight away

Your actual business name, a precise primary category, consistent address, phone number, opening hours and website are the foundations: incomplete or inconsistent information across channels makes your profile less trustworthy.

    • Use the salon's actual name, without adding cities or services as keywords.
    • Choose a specific primary category and add only relevant secondary categories.
    • Keep your phone number, address and opening hours identical across your website, social media and marketplaces.
    • Link to a website page that accurately describes your salon, services and service area.

Photos, services and reviews that help clients choose

Your profile should answer the questions a new client asks before booking: what is the atmosphere like, which treatments do you offer, how reliable are you and how can I contact you.

Upload real, recent photos of your entrance, treatment rooms, staff and results you have permission to share. Add short descriptions to your services, avoid stock images and respond to every review with specific references to the experience.

How to identify what is holding back your visiblety

Check your profile presence, website ranking, reviews and third-party results separately: being found by name does not mean being visible for a treatment and city.

The Skyground Google visiblety test searches for your salon, reads its profile and analyses what appears in search alongside social media and marketplaces. It is the starting point for deciding what to fix first.
